Looe – an idyllic holiday destination in the southwest

Looe is one of the most scenic ports in the southwest of England, situated in southeast Cornwall and close to the bordering county of Devon. It is a popular holiday destination in the summer time but in the winter some people also visit the area to enjoy its milder weather. The town can be easily reached by public transport at nearby Plymouth although parking spaces can become scarce during the peak tourist season in August. There are numerous activities to try in the local area, including horse riding with horse insurance, rock climbing, hiking and boating. One of the most impressive hotels in town is the Fieldhead Hotel, which is advertised on websites. It boasts a high 80 percent rating by the AA and is ranked in the top ten percent in Cornwall in terms of hotel services and comfort. It is an ideal base from which to explore Cornwall’s many notable attractions, including the Eden Project, National Trust properties and the stunning coastal walks in the area. It also boasts a heated swimming pool and excellent views of Looe Bay. Meanwhile, the Trelaske Hotel benefits from a 3 Star rating by the AA and has also won the association’s Rosette award. The Rosettes commend British establishments for the quality of their cuisine and are only awarded to the country’s highest ranking eateries. It is also rated as the number one hotel in Looe from a collection of reviews submitted on the Trip Advisor website. Some of its bedrooms even boast Jacuzzis and the building is nestled in four acres of fantastic gardens in a spectacular rural location.

The Cosmopolitan Martini: My Favourite

Recently while donning my running clothes I thought of my favourite drink mix..I came up with the cosmopolitan martini. A cosmopolitan martini is a great combo of tart and sweet flavors. It’s a very popular cocktail among people and you will find someone ordering a cosmopolitan martini in a bar any night. Now if you are looking for an easy recipe for making this cosmopolitan martini, you are at the right place. Here is my take..

Making a great cocktail requires some equipment related with cocktail making. Take your shakers in your hand to make a great cosmopolitan martini.

To make a cosmopolitan martini, you will need Vodka 1 ½ oz. Triple sec orange liqueur or Cointreau ½ ounce, Cranberry juice ½ ounce, ½ lime juice. Grab your cocktail shaker and fill it with ice. Now let it sit for 2-4 min for chilling the shaker. Now take a martini glass and fill it with ice to let it chill too. Now pour all the ingredients, triple sec, vodka, lime juice and cranberry juice in your cocktail shaker and shake it properly. Now empty your martini glass and shaker. Now strain cocktail into a glass and garnish it with lime rind curl or lime wedge or whatever you like and it’s ready to serve.

If you want to serve it nicely, you should pay attention to the glass and equipment you are using to make cocktails. Serving this cosmopolitan in martini glasses makes it look well. If you make cocktails regularly in your home, you can keep some classic set of glasses like martini, double-old fashioned, margarita etc. And keeping equipment like shaker or a corkscrew can help you to make a professional cosmopolitan martini in a very short time.

I find that replacing quantity of alcohol with a really high quality of alcohol really helps in increasing enjoyment as well as responsibility levels.
