With summer just around the corner, its the best time to take a vacation! This time, instead of heading to tourist hubs like Miami, Bangkok or London, why not think of spending some time in a small town with a quiet countryside? Like the idea? Then head to Looe!
Looe is a seaside town and fishing harbour in Cornwall, UK. It is divided into East and West zones with the Looe River flowing in between and a bridge joining the two sides. There are several cheap flights from all parts of Europe to this breathtakingly beautiful vacation spot! If you want to spend some quiet time with your family or your spouse then West Looe will be more to your liking. If sandy beaches and fishing with friends is more your kind of thing, then nothing beats East Looe.
Looe is famous for the picturesque St. George’s Island or more commonly known as Looe Island. You can take a boat trip with your friends and family, or even head out alone and feel the cool sea breeze in your hair. If you want to stay on land then you can take sightseeing tours to many of the state homes on the island.
As for accommodation, there are plenty of hotels and guest houses that offer personalized attention and unmatched hospitality to each guest. If you happen to plan a trip around New Year’s Eve, you will be able to take part in their famous fancy dress festival which is sure to perk you up! The food here is amazing and you shouldn’t miss out on the delectable Cornish pastries! So don’t waste any more time, head to Looe to have the best summer ever!
